What is the Good Neighbor Network?

This exciting collaboration between Student Life and local property managers is designed to create a supportive off-campus living experience for students. By committing to high standards in resident safety, property maintenance, fair leasing practices, and open communication with the university, we’re ensuring that students can thrive in their home away from home.

Join us in fostering a vibrant community where everyone feels secure and connected!

Network properties will also have the option to display an official network window decal in their leasing offices.

Please note that the decal will be updated with the academic year (e.g., 24-25) to convey that membership has been granted for the current year.

What if I have concerns that a property is not upholding the program commitments?

If you (or a loved one) are a resident of a Network property and believe the commitments are not being honored, please submit a detailed description of your concerns to ocss@tamu.edu. If you have additional documentation, such as photos, emails, or copies of maintenance requests, please attach them to the email.

After receiving your report, we may contact you for clarification. We will arrange a meeting with the property manager to discuss the report. If noncompliance is confirmed, the manager has 30 days to resolve the issue.

If unresolved, a final warning letter will be issued, and the property will be removed from the network if it does not comply within 14 days.
